Today was one of the best "Lucas firsts" yet. Marilu picked me up from work, we drove home, and when we arrived, I brought Lucas and his car seat into the house. After I took him out of the carseat, I held him up, and he responded by giving me a HUGE, open-mouthed smile. There's no way this was a smile caused by gas or a scrunched face that just looked like a smile. This was a full-fledged, "Hey daddy, I'm happy to see you!" smile.
You can ignore any rumors from Marilu that I got a bit misty-eyed. I'm sure it was just a bug that flew into my eye or something. Yeah, that's the ticket...
