On a higher hockey note, Lucas participated in a separate 4-on-4/drill session this morning. It's organized by one of the parents from the IP team he played on 2 years ago. He rents ice almost every week during the off-season so that the kids get a little extra ice time. We were a bit nervous about it since the roster for this week was primarily kids who played Novice A and competitive (Lucas was Novice B), but he went out there and hung with them pretty well. Don't get me wrong, he was not one of the highlights, but he definitely didn't look like he didn't belong. So we were happy, and I think it gave him a little boost of confidence that might have worn away from the other 4-on-4 debacle.
It's been a few posts since the vacation pictures so I'll continue that here today. I don't have too much to add since they are mostly random photos (and a few from our trip to mini golf) that speak for themselves so enjoy!
Last but not least, Lucas's baseball team meets together for the first time tomorrow. It'll be 1/2 meet the team and 1/2 first practice. It should be fun, and it'll be nice to have sports photos not involving hockey skates for once.

That's an excellent picture of the Deal "boys". If 4 on 4 is so bad, why not ask the person who runs it if anything can be done to fix the problem. If not, I'd get Lucas out of the program before he starts to dislike hockey. Can't see sticking with it just because you signed him up. If a program is bad, why bother with it?
